One of the most enjoyable aspects of what we do here at Come walk with me UK is the variety in what we do. One week we might be assisting on a multi-activity week at Condover Hall, another week we are helping a team from a school with behavioural difficulties ascend Scafell Pike and two weeks ago I found myself as driver, chief cook and bottlewasher for a team expedition to Snowdonia.

The team were a bunch of apprentices from a variety of different industries who were undertaking an expedition on Snowdon as part of their team building process. Over the course of a couple of days, the students and staff managed to set up a group camp at the gorgeous Llyn Gwynant campsite, learned how to light a fire, planned a menu and assisted in cooking in it, undertook a epic adventure on Snowdon and took part in a simulated search and rescue activity. The group challenged themselves and many of them displayed remarkable maturity and positivity in competing a series of gruelling activities in often inclement weather.

I have little doubt that many of these young people will achieve their goals and it was a pleasure to have been involved in their development.
